It was definitely a challenge and it felt like I wouldn't ever make it but 6 weeks later and 8kg lighter I can now see a massive difference
I feel I have so much more energy, a better look on life and Ive had so many compliments since doing the challenge which is pushing me to make a better me for the future
I also noticed along with the weight loss and muscle gain my posture is so much better, I don't hurt as much anymore and can stand a lot of straighter without a hunch, I can stand tall figuratively and literally! ?

I moved here to Newcastle from Sydney recently to start fresh. I was overweight, depressed, alcoholic and smoked over a packet of cigarettes a day. I was on the verge of a mental break down.
I let go of myself so much that I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror. I just wanted to feel great about myself again!!!
I came across Body Beyond limits gym from a family member who referred me and told me about how great there service was so I thought I'd check it out. I looked them up on FB and made an appointment with Mick to sign up. I hesitated and changed my mind a million times but I eventually got in there and signed up.
It was the best decision I made for myself in a longtime and little did I know that I would meet some of the greatest people that I now call family. I signed up but never actually went to the gym for 2 whole weeks lol kept making excuses for myself!!
Until I came across the 42 day challenge and something inside me just made me feel like this is what I needed to do, so I joined and I couldn't be more happier with myself and my progress over the last 6 weeks. Big shout out To Michael O'Sullivan, Honie Kilian, Paul Schneider, Jack Manahan, felicity and Jazz for all your hard work dedication and motivation, I wouldn't have made it this far without you all.
Stop making excuses for yourself you can do anything if you put your mind to it. I DID !!!

Shane is no stranger to Body Beyond Beyond Limits. He was a member with us a while back and absolutely killed it. But life got in the way and he had to leave us for a while.?
Then in april he made an AMAZING come back in our latest 42 Day challenge.. Killing it at training and smashing the criterior..There is no stopping with his training.
Here are a few words for this legend...?
Joining the 42 day challenge wasn't really about losing the kgs for me it was more to hold myself accountable to getting back into the gym and eating the right foods for my body. I've lost over 20 kgs with body beyond bootcamp/limits previously when I used to train with mick and the guys before getting an injury at work which prevented me to get to the gym and led to a downward spiral of crappy eating and no exercise which led to me putting 30kg back on. I was at the point where I was struggling to get out of bed or had little to no energy for day to day activities. So when I seen the ad pop up on Facebook I took it as a sign to get my butt back into gear and smash it out as I knew the guys at BBL would help me get results and change my mindset the same way they have before and at the end of the 42 days and 14.5kg lost and a whole new outlook on life the challenge was definitely a success and the outcomes I set for myself were definitely achieved ???

I have just completed the 6 week challenge and have learnt a lot. From nutrition support with a dietician and training guidance from all of the great staff at body beyond I am feeling fitter, healthier and more informed about the choices I am making for my body. I lost 4% body fat, and gained LOADS of muscle. Most importantly I was accountable to myself with my eating and working out. The Facebook group and support from the other challengers was inspiring. Ok so I had been feeling a bit down on myself for a while have been slowly growing out and not up for a while !
Also being a single father with two teenage daughters kept me busy. I didn't think I would have time to do something like this and had a poor diet too much beer.
So I thought what have I got to lose, if I can finish the 6 weeks that's an achievement in itself if I can get my target that's a bonus !
The first fitness test freaked me out and made me realise how unfit I actually was ! I stuck to the food nearly all the time and did at least 3 bootcamps a week, plus a weights session or two. I could see and feel changes after the first week!!!
Mick and the staff all kept me motivated along the way
The boot camps were fun , had a few laughs met some good people along the wAy. Shred was / is my favourite bootcamp on a Monday at 5pm!
The gym wasn't full of tossers or he men so I felt comfortable.
Got my body scan done at the half way point.It was pleasing to see I was heading in the right direction.
The trainers were awesome, gave lots of great advice didn't make you do anything that wasn't safe or you were not capable of.
I Got to the end which I was stoked about but the
Bonus was I got my target!!!
Self esteem is great, health is great and I'm feeling on top of the world!!
I have a new way to live!!!

After 3 pregnancies, including 2 with gestational diabetes and being diagnosed with and treated for thyroid cancer, I was in need of some self care........ I have always been on the larger side and always struggled to lose weight, but I was advised to loose weight by my specialist, so I signed up for the Beyond Limits 42 Day Body Shift Challenge.
I GAVE IT MY ALL AND FOR 42 DAYS I CHOSE ME!!!! I found that there were so many classes there was never an excuse to miss a day, if I couldn’t make one there was always another one at a different time and all the instructors were so supportive and encouraging and it didn't matter about our fitness levels. We were always given options to suit.
The meal plan was amazing, I was never hungry and the flavours were very satisfying so I never felt like I was missing out.
Best thing for me was everyone was on a journey....... all at different stages but all willing to share their experiences and support me on my journey, first gym I have been to that I never felt like I was the odd one out.
So after 42 Days I have lost 13.1kg, 60cm and dropped two clothes sizes........ but what is immeasurable is that I feel healthy and full of energy for the first time in years, I can’t recommend this challenge enough for anyone needing to get fit ❤️
Hi my name is Cody i started this journey at Body Beyond Limits at 132kgs I'm now down to 108 and I'm not looking back i have so much more energy since taking part of the last 2, 30 day body shift challenges and I LOVE the food.
Mick and the trainers are so supportive and never put you down if you fall off the wagon. I have met so many amazing people that train at body beyond limits and the encouragement and support is mind blowing. All the members get amazing results and I love helping the new members when they sign up.
Since started bootcamps and the gym feeling so much better about myself i still have a ways to go but I'll get there. i had a few injuries here and there but they're not gonna stop me getting where i want to be. Cody Lindley
I started training at BBL not long after it first opened. Owning my own painting business keeps me working flat out and takes a lot of toll on my body, training 6 days a week at BBL has helped me build so much strength and being in my early 40's I am more fit than I have ever been. I have met some great friends since joining up and we have plenty of laughs while training. I have to put a shout out to Mick, Paul and Josh for all their amazing knowledge and expertise in helping me along the way. Adam..
I went away for a family holiday in January this year and whilst doing theme parks etc I wasn't comfortable within myself and didn't really want to swim because of my weight. I was tired all the time and had no energy and when I look back, I really wasn’t living my life. Looking back on the previous year where my pop passed in Jan 18 and Nan passed in November 18, I decided it was time to start a journey to get myself where I should be.
My wife's work has fitness passport so I jumped online and to find a gym I could visit on the way home from Beresfield and found Body Beyond Limits!
This gym has the most amazing members and trainers! Right from day one Mick got right into may head and set me up on some goals that I could never break and motivation from his own journey and why he now loves helping people. Mick sorted my nutrition plan and gave me advise along the way and was Mick for my first session then Pauly once a week since and haven't looked back. Love the way the team push me and keep me on track. I've lost 35.5kg kg as of today since the last week of February, dropped 3 pant sizes and had to buy 2 new belts and a few new pairs of shorts. Since joining I have changed jobs and now working at Warnervale and have no intention of leaving BBL and drive up from Morisset 3 days a week.
The goal is to fit into a BBL singlet and jumper by the end of the year so keep an eye out for my post in December!
I started training properly at BBL when my youngest son was about 6 months old and I realised I was still rocking maternity clothes on the reg, and was far from still being pregnant.
I had always half assed any attempts to lose weight, i was always motivated for about a week and then thought exercise = hard, nuggies = life.
I was so embarrassed, the scales had hit triple digits and my ankles got sore even walking with the pram. I knew I needed to make a drastic change to provide a better example for my sons.
I started taking notice of what people were doing at BBL, talking to other members and asking the trainers for advice on nutrition and training programs. I made training a priority and stopped making excuses like “I don’t have time” or “I’m too busy with the boys”. I take advantage of the gyms kids area and join in on family boot camp night. I go before work, or after work, or on the weekends...even when my 1 year old has only given me an hour sleep!
I’ve now dropped 29kgs, 3 dress sizes and am not embarrassed to go out places with my husband and kids anymore. My husband Chris has been my biggest supporter throughout this process, teaching me everything he knows too. BBL is such an incredible environment, encouraging and empowering members to be their best and to challenge themselves, I couldn’t have done it without BBL!!
I have trained at BBB since the early days. Between boot camps, PT sessions in the shredded shed and learning how to eat properly my wife and I lost 50 kgs between us. I was excited about Mick opening up his Gym but a wasn’t really a Gym person. I continued with the bootcamp session but decided to give the Gym ago around September last year. I love training in the Gym as well as doing bootcamp. The people who train at BBB/BBL are inspiring and supportive. It’s great to see how far some people have come on their health and fitness journey and it’s good to see the new members who are just starting. A big thanks to Megan Chapman who puts up with my sweat every Monday, all the awesome Trainers at BBB/BBL, Michael O’Sullivan who is a great coach, but most of all too Kerrilyn Jeffery who is my inspiration. I’m now fitter, faster, stronger and my Karate has improved greatly as a result.
Rachel is one of our most active members not only has she transformed her life, but the life's of her friends and family! Rach has lost over 35cm and 6kg of body fat since taking part in our nutrition challenges! Congratulations champion! ?✌?️♂️?♂️

Never in my life did I think I would be one of these before and after pics. I saw them and thought that will never be me. After having 3 kids I always made excuses. Enough was enough. I was introduced to Michael at Body beyond bootcamp with boxing and the rest was history. Now I use Body beyond limits gym and plan my week around my workouts craving them. I started my BBL journey in November 2017, working with Mick a few times 2-3 times per week and learning my own way through the gym the others.
During our PT sessions he really showed me how to exercise and eat right for my body and within 3 months I had dropped 38cm and 3% body fat - now we are concentrating in growing lean muscle.
I’m excited to be working towards lifting heavy weights with Mick - it’s making me strong, lean and fit.
I love eating good food and being a good role model for my two year old.
The BBL family is so supportive and are wanting you to succeed - it’s super refreshing to have them commenting positively on the work you do and egging you on to more.
Best decision I made for myself was to call this gym for help.
I joined BBL in February after having my second baby late December. I wanted to loose the weight I gained through my pregnancy and get my fitness back. I was nervous to join a new gym but from the minute I joined I felt welcome and not one bit hesitant to turn up. In the time I have been with BBL I have completed a couple of challenges and always try to attend the kid friendly 9:30 sessions and if time allows a session in the gym. These sessions have pushed me and my fitness has increased week by week. I have also met some awesome ladies through attending!! To date I have lost 13kg and 59cm and back to my pre baby weight! Wanting to loose some of the dad bod I’d been slowly acquiring over the last few years and after speaking with Michael in January, I joined Body Beyond Limits on a 30 day Body Shift Challenge. The first couple of classes showed me just how unfit I had become and honestly it was hard! But after a few classes, I realised the intensity was still there but I could push a lot harder and recover faster. The meal plan and nutrition support was great and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed eating clean and appropriately to my goals.
I’ve lost 7.1 kgs in 30 days, my fitness is the best it’s been in years and I feel amazing!
The Challenge was great, I recommend it to anyone who really wants to make a change and is committed to put in the effort and it’s the amazing team, the facilities and the culture at BBL that made my decision to stay on as a member and continue with my goals an easy one.
Starting the 30 day challenge, I was more focused on just eating healthier!
Not only did I achieve a much healthier eating schedule, I’ve also toned up and lost a lot more weight than I expected!
The BBL crew was amazing, they motivated me and kept up to date on my progress from week to week, they also pushed me to my limits in the classes, ensuring I was doing my best and getting the most out of them.
After 30 days, I’ve lost 5kgs! And 30 cms in measurements all up!!!

I have been a member of BBL for the past 7 months. I began with the classes to improve my cardiovascular health after having been out of any kind of physical training for over 2 years. The classes are run by wonderful trainers. Very supportive and switched on. Always making sure every member doesn't have any restrictions beforehand and then happily modifying the class to each individuals capacity. The care factor of BBL's trainers is on point!! After aprox 3 months I decided to get some PT sessions to show me correct form and technical aspects of weight lifting in the Gym. I stepped away from classes to start working on my goals. Once the amazing PT's gave me the tools I was confident enough to work on my goals on my own. All the members at BBL are fantastic. A very supportive family type of environment, a real team. Mid way through my journey to date i took The Raw Challenge at Doyalson with two of the PT's and another cpl of BBL's members. This kick started my personal challenge to myself to get my butt into gear for the next one because it literally kicked my ass. The PT's stayed by my side the entire obstacle course, giving constant encouragement and support. I remember how daunting it was stepping into the weights room on my own for the first time. So much masculinity in that room. I am so glad I didn't let fear hold me back because all those big guys make you feel welcome. A smile, an unsolicited but welcomed form correction. All egos are left at the door. I am smashing my goals and really proud of myself. Many people I'm noticing are asking me when I'm going to stop, saying things like "but your tiny, don't lose anymore". My journey will never be over, it's just the beginning of an entire lifestyle overhaul. I can not thank BBL enough for giving us this space to train and it's PT's and members for being a constant force of support. My start weight was 117kg, my current weight is 72kg. I’ve been training at BBL for around ten months now and couldn’t be happier with the results I’m achieving. Consistent training and healthy eating has never been a strength of mine but the motivation, guidence and support provide to me by the bbl team has been just what I needed. I first started training with mick because I wanted to learn how to train my body properly and I needed someone to push me and motivate me, which he certainly has done. I am continually seeing results and hitting new pb’s, i also feel like I’m learning something new with every session from different training techniques to the importance of fueling your body with the correct foods and resting your body when it needs it. I can’t recommend bbl highly enough, the gym, fitness classes and boot camps have something for everyone and cater for all fitness levels. Thank you to all the trainers and staff at bbl that make it the best gym in town.
It all started in the August when I saw a mate do a challenge at Body Beyond Limits & I said to myself, time to give the 1 month challenge a go. Let’s just say 5 months later & I’m still going. Just to break it down into 3 simple steps. 1. First step is to make the call to BBL & make it happen. 2. Be true to yourself & Never Give Up. & 3. Every decision you make is always the right one. The way this challenge has changed my mind set is… I love the feeling of starting each day doing something good for myself, the exercise lifts my mood, and especially being in a group environment brings us together to inspire each other to keep going. It also just gives me more energy in everyday life. I cannot thank the trainers enough, they push us and support us, especially Honie, Paul, Michael and staff. A big thanks to all of them for pushing me. The Myzone bands have taken it to a whole new level, in the way it tracks your every move to help to achieve your goals. A must have item! BBL is completely out of my way from where I live, but is definitely worth travelling to as its one of the best gyms I have ever been to, the people, the classes, the atmosphere and support is awesome. Definitely a family vibe. My starting weight was 97.6 My current weight 5 months later is 87.3 And still going…
I joined BBL in October 2019. My goals for joining BBL were to lose weight, get stronger, wear swimmers and be happy. I have lost 4kg since joining and I’m also getting a lot stronger. I really love that BBL is a family friendly environment, everyone is so welcoming and helpful. There is a huge variety of classes and they are always different. All of the trainers are really insightful and helpful. Joining BBL was the best thing I could have done for my health and fitness.💪
