?We are so proud of Alanah’s achievements and so she has taken out on of the members of the month this month. Her loyalty to BBL and her dedication to her health and fitness has meant that she has achieved her goal by placing ? 1st in bikini mummas and 2nd in bikini first timers at the INBA Comp in Sydney. ?

I stacked on a few cheeky kilos over Chrissy last year and I was super inconsistent with going to the gym and consuming way too many calories without actually realising I was. I had a messy relationship breakdown and that really shook me, if I didn’t have my daughter I would have wanted to throw in the towel and go on a year long bender, but that’s not an option so I had to deal with my emotions in a more healthy way. I’ve never succeeded at any fitness challenge I’ve started so I knew I had to do something big and crazy and commit to something like a bikini competition to really get it done. I approached Josh Sinclair and he believed in my potential more than I did, I paid for his coaching and that made it feel so real and that I was locked in to my transformation. I logged what I was eating in my fitness pal and that helped a lot to figure out what my body needed, and then I made it a habit to go to the gym 5-6 days a week and tried to make it at the same time every week. My bikini comp prep was 12 weeks long, in the last month I wanted to quit three times. Sometimes I was just fed up and exhausted and constantly felt like I wasn’t doing enough. It’s really hard to be so strict and it became really consuming, like you’re always thinking about what you’re eating and what you can eat next. The best parts were feeling myself get stronger, a few months ago I struggled to squat 20kilos, now I can do sets at 70kilos. When I look back on past pictures it’s so satisfying to see the progress I’ve made. And I’m proud that I’ve done it with just clean eating and training. It took a lot of learning and it’s a day to day thing, it definitely takes time. I think the big things for anyone who wants to lose weight and get fit is to just jump in and dont worry about making mistakes or looking stupid in the gym and just seek help from people who know what they are doing like the coaches, investing in my health was definitely one of the best things I’ve ever done. I feel and look much better.

BBL is the best place to get out of your comfort zone and just do what you’ve gotta do to be a better you. And that is a sick rhyme if I do say so myself. I’ve been to different gyms for years and always felt super uncomfortable to try things I wasn’t sure about. It’s not like that at BBL everyone is friendly and down to earth, the gym here is full of easy going people who will help you if you ask for it. The kids area is super handy for me to just bring my little one along and know that she’s safe to be there for a bit and the staff are always super positive and helpful. Not only this I have got the correct form and nutrition advise from the coaches and have got better results in the last 6 months then I did from the last 5 years at other gyms.
